A Long nosed RR Griffon engines Mk 19 in French markings according to the titles. Sound Ok and is fast, but the lesser powered Merlin is pure music. Achtung Spitfeuer indeed. Many thanks
@blacktiger955i Well maybe, I do like the look of the Mustang also the Corsair.that in fighter planes, the best looking plane ever was the super connie.
No it did not the Mustang NEVER used Griffin engines. It started with Allisons and then went to Merlins. NO Mustang was fitted with Griffins other than post war Reno Racers.
@TheSteamdriver Im afraid to say yes it did! It had the same Griffon as fitted to the Mk XIV.
the mk 19 didn’t that have the griffin engine
@Tony240Z Thank you Tony, that makes much more sense than my poor effort at translation. Best regards Harry
@HarryAardvark This Spit is owned by a Frenchman, but the markings are typical RAF far east.
i didnt realise that something bred for war could look so beautiful and produce a sound like music to my ears.

I’m half expecting the music from the film “Battle of Britain” to play in the background!

@emperor270885 sonny – your shittin me …right?
The sound of Victory!
The Griffen, although the upgraded engine just doesn’t sound as sweet as a Merlin!
Whoever’s flying that Spitfire is flying it hard, just like it was designed to do.
Utter brilliance.
this engine sounds different, it’s also got that whistle that sounds like a German supercharged engine??
